Minecraft’s history started when created by Swedish game designer Markus Persson but was fully developed and published by a company called Mojang.
Minecraft’s history was for the game to be creative with building aspects in mind to enable Minecraft players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D procedurally generated world.
Also included in the game are exploration, resource gathering, crafting, and combat. You can also play Multiple gameplay modes, including a survival mode where the player must acquire resources to build their world and maintain health and to survive, There is a creative mode where players have unlimited resources to build with and the ability to fly which is great for beginners, for more advanced players there is an adventure mode where players can play custom maps created by other players, and a spectator mode where players can fly around and clip through blocks, but cannot place or destroy any.
The PC version of the game is noted for its mode scene, basically this for the pros who can interact in a dedicated community creating new game play mechanics, items, and assets for the game.
Minecraft’s history also includes articles of praise from critics, and you will also find articles on the Internet showing the game has won numerous awards and accolades.
Figures released in February 2017 shows over 121 million copies have been sold across all platforms!! This has made Minecraft the second best-selling video game of all time, only behind the various releases of Tetris.
In September 2014, Microsoft announced a deal to buy Mojang and the Minecraft intellectual property for US$2.5 billion, with the acquisition being completed two months later.
Researching Minecraft’s history you will find the game was originally started as a project based on games such as Dwarf Fortress, Dungeon Keeper, and later Infiniminer. At the time Marcuss Persson had visualized an isometric 3D building game that he wanted to cross between his inspirations and some early prototypes of Infiniminer which heavily influenced him when influencing the style of gameplay.
